11. Education and academic achievements
The narrative below explains how my studies connect to later support, writing, and systems work. The complete academic record preserves every graded course, both work-experience entries, term totals, and the credential trail; the links within this chapter lead directly to those details.
11.1 Mohawk College and the technical foundation
I studied Computer Systems Technician – Network Systems at Mohawk College in Hamilton and earned an Honours Ontario College Diploma through the co-op program.
The program combined networking, systems administration, programming, web technologies, communication, and IT service practice. I moved into the co-op stream after the first two terms and completed both work-experience requirements alongside my academic studies.
11.2 Networking and infrastructure
My networking courses included Introduction to Networking (94), TCP/IP Internet Services (98), Network Infrastructure (96), Wireless Networking (90), and Cisco Routing and Switching (85). They gave me a foundation for investigating connectivity, directory integration, and enterprise environments in support roles.
11.3 Systems servers and virtualization
I earned 100 in both Virtualization and Fundamentals of UNIX, 96 in UNIX Administration, 94 and 86 in Microsoft Server Administration Parts 1 and 2, and 97 in both Email Server Administration and Web Server Administration. I applied this foundation in work with servers, directory services, Exchange, virtual machines, and hosted documentation environments.
11.4 Programming web communication and service practice
I earned 99 in HTML & CSS, 93 in Programming Fundamentals, 96 in Math for Computer Studies, and 100 in Discrete Math & Statistics. My communication and professional-practice results included 86 in Communications, 87 in Computer Training & Technical Writing, 92 in Project Management for IT, and 91 in ITIL Client Support. See my complete academic record for all courses and grades.
My studies included UNIX, Python programming, ITIL, and Cisco networking. The complete academic record lists the courses and grades.
11.5 Electives and the complete record
My electives included History of War & Society (85), Introduction to Anthropology (92), and Introduction to Sociology (97), adding social and historical perspectives to my technical studies.
The complete academic record lists all 23 graded courses, both work-experience terms, credits, term totals, and the qualification I earned.
11.6 Academic achievements
I graduated with an honours diploma. My academic-term GPAs were 93.6 in Winter 2020, 96.7 in Summer 2020, 91.1 in Fall 2020, and 93.0 in Fall 2021.
My academic achievements include Dean’s Honours in all semesters, a 93.5 percent CGPA, and a Scholarship for Academic Excellence. The complete academic record provides the course and term details.
11.7 Co op and continuing learning
My two co-op work-experience terms connect this academic foundation to hands-on service desk work at RWDI, where I supported users, devices, networks, and server services.
I have also planned further Azure learning, including an AZ-104 study plan and cloud-career research.
